About this book:

It was Gigi’s father who aroused her interest in cooking.

It began with her father rewarding her with 50 cents for having fried a red snapper (at 9 years old) to perfection. When she learned to make steamed buns, her father complimented her, " it is impossible to buy such good buns elsewhere!" Notwithstanding the complicated steps involved in making buns, she didn't grow tired of making them for her father. Till today, her interest in cooking has not waned and it's not for interest's sake, but it's also far people who appreciate food.

Besides liking steamed buns, her father loved to savor some appetizers and snacks from their hometown, such as Steamed Beancurd with Shrimp Paste, Braised Crown Daisy and Dried Tiny Shrimps with Mungbean Vermicelli and Steamed Red Bean Cake. Gigi hopes you will like them too.
